After starting to work in specialty coffee as a barista in 2008, I have had the opportunity to work in various roles from roasting to delivering green coffee to quality control and sourcing. I absolutely love the diverse and global coffee community that I get to work with on a daily basis.
My go-to brewer at home is either my V60 or AeroPress. I personally enjoy drinking complex washed processed coffees with lots of sweetness and acidity.
Introduced to specialty coffee from my brother and business partner many years ago, I jumped into coffee professionally in 2020. Since then I've fallen in love with visiting the beautiful places where coffee is grown and meeting the amazing people that facilitate this incredible industry.
I prefer americanos when out at a cafe or brewing pour overs with my Gabi brewer at home. I'll always lean towards a complex washed coffee.
During my career in coffee I've held many roles, from green coffee quality control to head roaster and more recently in trading and sales. I operate under the firm belief that in this life we get the opportunity to choose how we invest our time and energy, and for me, I choose to invest in helping good people make good coffee. I love getting to be the cheerleader to my clients and the sounding board to their ideas on how we can make this industry more sustainable and equitable.
I am a huge fan of Brazilian coffees and tend to gravitate to any coffee that is sweet, nutty, and full bodied. In a cafe, you'll probably find me drinking a cup of house drip or a "Baby Bear" (cortado sized mocha).
