We work hard to get your order shipped out on the next business day!
You will receive a notification once your order has shipped. If you have not received this notification within 2 business days after placing your order, please get in touch with us.
Your order will be shipped via USPS or UPS from Monday through Friday. USPS and UPS observe most national holidays which may affect our shipping.
All shipments and pricing are Ex Works (EXW) terms from Anaheim, California. All duty and import fees required at the final destination will be the responsibility of the buyer.
Get in touch with us at connect@haceacoffee.com if you have any questions about setting up an international shipment outside of the USA.
Because coffee is a food product, we will not be able to accept returns on any green coffee. Please let us know if you are not completely satisfied with any of the coffee that we offer.
Please reach out to us if you would like any recommendations to point you to your perfect coffee. If there are any errors in your order or if you are not completely happy with your coffee, please let us know right away.
We will replace any items in your order that are missing or damaged in transit. Please contact us immediately so that we can send you a replacement right away. Providing us a photo of the damaged products or damaged shipping box can direct us to avoid repeating the same packaging mistakes and can help us remedy the situation with our shipping partners.
We are confident in the quality of the specialty coffees that we source. Each coffee offered is strictly evaluated by our licensed Q Arabica Grader to the physical and sensorial standards set by the Specialty Coffee Association and the Coffee Quality Institute. Before a coffee makes the long journey from the farm to your door, the sample is tasted a minimum of three times in a blind cupping.
First, we receive an offer sample. This sample may be tasted at the farm or exporter's lab while visiting the country of origin or in our cupping lab located in Souther California. After the lots, quantities and prices are determined between us and the seller, the coffee will be prepared for export and a pre-shipment sample will be sent. This pre-shipment sample is the last opportunity to change our order with the farm, and is indicative of how the coffee will taste as it is loaded onto a container for shipping via ocean freight. Once the coffee arrives to the port in the United States, it is inspected and released for us to move into our warehouse! We taste each lot again after arriving to our temperature controlled warehouse to ensure that the arrival sample is consistent with the offer and pre-shipment samples.
Each cupping is is done blindly in an effort to eliminate as much bias as possible while tasting the coffees. We use software to track each tasting and evaluate how coffees are changing over time. During the cupping of the arrival sample, our team collaborates to write tastings notes for each lot of coffee that we offer. These cupping notes are added to our website and printed on the coffee labels.
We are constantly tasting our coffees with clients, at home and in formal cuppings. If a coffee is not performing like a high-end specialty coffee ought to, kindly let us know so that we can mark the coffee for further evaluation.
We want you to get the most out of each coffee and would love to share our experience and provide our roasting recommendations if you are having any difficulties! No two coffees are exactly alike. From the agricultural variables to the varying roast times and temperatures, all the way to the different brewing methods and water composition, calling coffee complex would be an understatement! It is what we love about coffee and what keeps us learning and sharing.
