Donate to Colombia Red Cross

On August 10, 2026, a magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck western Colombia, with an epicenter near San José del Palmar in the department of Chocó. It was the largest earthquake recorded in the country this century, and the shaking reached cities across the region, including Cali, Pereira, Quibdó, and Manizales. As of now, more than 224 people have died, over 1,200 have been injured, and more than 3,700 are still reported missing. Search and rescue efforts are ongoing, and the needs on the ground are significant.

This area of Colombia is home to several farms from which we buy coffee, including Finca Milán near Pereira, Risaralda and Finca Capri near Manizales, Caldas.  The individuals and communities behind the coffee we offer are part of what happened here, and we wanted to find a direct way to help. 

Through the month of August, we are donating $5 for every kilogram of Colombian coffee purchased through our website to the Colombian Red Cross. In addition, we have created this option online for you to make any additional contribution to this donation. 100% of these additional donations collected will be sent to the Colombian Red Cross.
