  • Sweet fragrance and aroma of cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla. Deep flavor of dark chocolate, red wine and vanilla with an aftertaste of honey, chocolate malt and baking spices. Medium-bright citric and lactic acidity with a creamy mouthfeel and medium body.
  • This is a complex cup with a wide range of flavors. The lactic and citric acid is very pleasant at lighter roasts (about 95 to 105 Agtron) while the sweet and spice notes will show strongest in the medium roast range (about 75 to 85 Agtron).

Strong bold espresso

Wow. Intense I think is a good word to describe this bean. I’m drinking this as an espresso. The flavour notes are so spot on with this coffee.

I tend to like creamy sumatrans. So while I think it’s creamy, not as much as the Sumatran I drink (also from Hacea). The red wine, nutmeg and honey notes very much stand out to me.

It was very unique, not sweet, which I really enjoy. Feels like a nice after dinner type of espresso given the flavours. Comes across like a delicacy.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience with this coffee, Eric!

So glad you are enjoying it. We have recently been setting up the next crop to ship from Rwanda and look forward to offering the coffees from Muhororo each year.
